So tonight is the Teacher Appreciation dinner at Spencer's school. I had seen these Brownie Pops made on the Creating Keepsakes message board by Erin Lincoln and thought they would perfect for this!
I got the
mold at Michaels. Actually I bought two of them, because making only eight 'pops' at a time would have taken for ever! It took me a while to get the hang of how much to fill the molds without having them explode out of the top. And Erin over at CK was so helpful. I had lots of questions for her and she gave me all kinds of little tips on how to make them work. And I have to say that I am so proud of how they turned out! And they are really delicious too.

The box I put them in has floral foam in it so the pops would stand upright. The box itself is actually an old shoe box. I took some craft paper and stamped all the different apples using the
Teacher set from PaperTrey Ink. I love this stamp set! I then wrapped the box in the paper. The sign was made with my Cricut and then some American Craft rubons.

Next, I took one of the sentiments from the same Teacher stamp set and made this tag to put on the front of the box. I used my circle Nestabilities to make the tag. I thought it dressed up the front of the box nicely.

The little thank you tags I cut with my Cricut. I used the Plantin Schoolbook cart with my Design Studio Software. I just layed the apple image on top of the tag and welded them together. So when Cricut cut the tags out, the apple was cut out as a negative image. The thank you stamp is again from the Teacher stamp set.
And here is how they look unwrapped. Don't they look delicious!

It was fun dipping them in chocolate and then sprinkling on the sprinkles. Every now and then, I would look over at the ones I had done and I would discover one would have slide down the stick. I guess it got a little too heavy with the chocolate and sprinkles and gravity would claim it. The boys would love that though. I would yell out, "I've got a slider, who wants it!" And all three of them would run to the kitchen to claim it. I think they ended up with 2 each last night. So my big tip would be to make more than you need because when you get to the chocolate part you will have some casualties. It is a great way to taste test your 'pops' though!
Thanks again for visiting me!

They look great! What a great idea - and I love the box you made for them. The whole thing is adorable - all the way down to the tags! If I lived closer I would have came over for some of the "sliders". LOL Sounds yummy!

Those look fabulous christie!!!! And such a wonderful presentation!!!
Great job!
For a non-cook, non-baker like me, I was wondering did you use those brownies in a box and then melted the chocolate from chocolate chips? I would love to learn how to do this.
I've been searching for these Brownie Pops at my Mike's every since it was posted on CK-MB but so far no luck.
