Operation Room Redo: Phase One Complete!

I am very happy to announce that Spencer's new room is complete! And it turned out exactly how I had envisioned it. I don't know about anyone else out there in blogland, but when I start projects they rarely turn out the way I had planned. But not this time. :-)

So here are quite a few pictures of his new room. This shot is taken from the door as you walk into his room.

This next one is taken from the other side of the room by the window. See that little white desk in the corner? I have been looking forever for a small writing desk for him. They are so hard to find because everything is computer desks now. Well last weekend I went to the Pottery Barn outlet while we were in Ohio and I found this desk there on super, super clearance. It had been $229 (I don't know who would pay that kind of money for that desk!) and was now marked down. I got it for $48! Score for Christie!!!! Then we found the desk chair and those shelves at Ikea the next day. How lucky were we that Ikea had exactly the colors we were looking for? I mean those items are perfect for this room!

And this one is taken looking out . You can see a little bit of his bathroom. I painted it the blue color from his comforter.
The following are the canvases I painted for his room. I bought all of the canvases at Michaels with my handy 40% off coupons, and I got all of the vinyl decals from Ebay. This one is 4 foot tall. I think it adds so much to the room. Makes it "pop", know what I mean?

I bought the skateboard (below) at the Pottery Barn outlet over 6 months ago when Spencer first told me wanted a skateboard themed room. It was red. So when we finally decided on a color scheme for his room, I painted it the same color as the bathroom and then the No Limits and Flames I cut with my Cricut. The images are from the Graphically Speaking cartridge. If you have a cricut, I highly recommend this cart. It has tons of cool things on it!
So that is part of what I have been working on for the last few months. I forgot to mention that I got all of his bedding and curtains at Walmart. I already talked about the headboard in this post if you are interested or you missed it.

So I leave you with one last picture of what I think turned out to be an awesomely cool boys room! Thanks again for visiting me!!!

Fabulous room! Can you come to my house next? I'm feeling inspired to do something with my boys' rooms. Have you considered a career in interior design? Or maybe that's what you do... Love it!
