Operation Room Redo

We have begun the Operation Room Redo: Version 2009. These are the supplies to paint Spencer's new room. And yes, I said new room. See for the past year or so, every time I walk past the guest room I think how terrible it is for that nice room to go unused. We do get overnight visitors but only about 4 or 5 times a year. So for the most part that room doesn't get used.

So I talked Chris into moving Spencer to that room and moving me to Spencer's old room! Woo Hoo! I get my own scrap room with windows and a door. And I get to make it as girly as I want to. I'm thinking pink walls and flowers.

We are then going to make the part of the basement that I was using as my scrap area into an art area for the boys. Since they are older now, I'm not so worried about crayons on the walls. And then this will give me a closet back in my kitchen that is now the boy's art closet. And since I have limited cabinet space in my kitchen, more closet space is going to be awesome!

So I have a lot of work to do to get this all done. I got Spencer's new room taped off today and I hope to start painting tomorrow. Since the bedroom he is moving to has it's own bathroom, it will still serve as a guest room when we need it. That was the main reason I didn't take that room for my scrap room. I wanted to still have that as a bedroom for when we have overnight guests, (i.e. our parents).

As I get each room done, I will post pics. I won't be getting much scrapping done for the next month or so though.
